Najah Abdus-Salaam, Licensed Acupuncturist, Certified Bheemashakti Yoga teacher, and Certified Massage Therapist began her journey of helping and healing people five years ago. She graduated with her BS in Marketing and Advertising from Kean University in New Jersey where she grew up. After working for a few years in the hustle and bustle of New York City at a worldwide outdoor advertising agency, she began to become more and more disconnected from the world that she worked daily in, and began to submerge herself in the dense yoga culture in the New York and New Jersey area. It was though her regular yoga practice and daily meditation practices that she decided to make the much needed change to live the life that she always dreamed of. During the same time, she started to suffer from a variety of digestive issues that doctors could not find the source of the problem. So Najah sought alternative medicine – Acupuncture to help cure her. It was through her experiences with Acupuncture and dietary changes that she developed to heal her that made her decide to move across the country to San Diego, and enroll in Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) to study Traditional Chinese Medicine. She graduated from PCOM in 2013 cum laude.
Najah combines the therapeutic benefits of acupuncture, herbs, and moxabustion with sound therapy, massage and crystal energies. Her passion to help and heal people is very important to her. She is very passionate about the powerful healing combination of Acupuncture and vibrational healing, and has combined them together as healing concerts, called AcuRhythms. With her partner, Cheryl Davies, and the magical sound healers that they have been blessed to experience, they have come together, and joined forces to heal deeply in a group setting.
When she has free time, Najah loves to practice and teach Bheemashakti Yoga, cook, read, meditate, practice intuitive Feng Shui, rollerblade, make jewelry and keep learning to perfect her healing craft. She loves to connect with each patient, and to help them reach their fullest potential.
